Kihlberg & Henry, have exhibited works at galleries such as Ikon Gallery, Camden Art Centre, ICA, Whitechapel Gallery, Tate Modern, Wysing Art Centre and Eastside Projects. Major commissions include Whitstable Biennial, ArtSway, Aspex Gallery, and the BUPA Great North Run Moving Image Commission. The duo has published several books and are represented by Danielle Arnaud Gallery, with their works distributed by FilmForm (Sweden) and publications by Motto Books (Berlin). The duo has been part of collaborative research projects, INFRA with Fatos Ustek and initiated the research group The Disembodied Voice, funded by Arts Council England.
Kihlberg & Henry are the founders of Springhill Institute, an international residency and artist commission programme which came to play an important role in Birmingham's cultural landscape, serving as a hub for contemporary art and creative international exchange.
Kihlberg holds an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London, she studied Pedagogy at Umeå University and Cultural Leadership at Oxford University. Kihlberg & Henry holds a Master of Arts in Culture and Media from Linköping University, and a BA in Fine Art at Birmingham University. From 2009-2011, they were Art Researchers at the post-academic research centre Jan van Eyck Academy in the Netherlands. They have worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the Royal College of Art (RCA), Central Saint Martins (CSM), and the Bartlett School of Architecture, University of the Arts London among others. Karin created and led the Collaborative Practice module at Bournemouth University at the Fine Art Department.
